As a 24-year-old with 7 roommates, I believe in pursuing housing affordability through every route available to us, including workforce housing, cooperative living, and streamlining new housing development at all levels.
Why I’m running: From knocking thousands of doors as an organizer for a successful Supervisor campaign this past fall, I know that progressive San Franciscans are aligned in our desire for a city that is affordable, well-run, and cares for our most vulnerable. I have worked as a community organizer over the past 15 years and got my start as a youth organizer working to combat white supremacist activity in my small, rural hometown. As a recent candidate for the City College Board of Trustees, I drew on my lived experience as a community college graduate from a working family, track record of fighting for equity and institutional accountability, and expertise as a public policy analyst to advocate for community college students. I proudly organize alongside my neighbors in Bernal Heights to advocate for affordable housing and economic opportunities for everyone.

Who I am: I grew up in San Francisco's Sunnydale Projects, giving me firsthand experience of what working families need to succeed. I bring strong day-to-day grassroots skills to accomplish our advocacy goals from my extensive organizing and leadership background with Prop 3 Right to Marry, San Francisco Young Democrats, the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition.
Why I'm running: During the 2024 election cycle, I worked with groups across rural and urban California to pass Prop 3 Right to Marry and preserve the rights we have fought so hard for. Following the results of the national election, I am running to build a Democratic Party that can do the same.

Why I'm running: As a Democratic Party delegate, I will fight for a strong economy, climate action through green energy jobs, universal childcare, healthcare access, affordable housing, public infrastructure, women's rights, abortion access, equal pay, and dignity and justice for all. My husband and I have lived for nearly 25 years in the Bernal Heights neighborhood of San Francisco, where we are raising our daughter, continuing my family’s deep roots in the city that stretch back to my grandmother's immigration to the United States through Angel Island.
Why I'm running: As a Democratic Party delegate, I want to prioritize more housing, especially affordable housing; equitable and excellent public education for every California student; LGBTQ+ rights; climate justice; a thriving small business community and sustainable economy; strengthened workers'; and immigrant rights; and increased investments in public infrastructure and transportation. Who I am: My name is Kristin Hardy, and I would be honored to represent Assembly District 17 as a delegate to the California Democratic Party. After years as a carpenter with Local 22, I reinvented myself through City College and have been a City worker with the San Francisco Department of Public Health for over 11 years. I am a union activist with SEIU 1021, a parent, and a proud Democrat who has knocked on countless doors to elect candidates who stand with working families and marginalized communities. I was born and raised in San Francisco and understand what working people in our city need.
Why I'm running: The California Democratic Party must lead on social, economic, and racial justice issues. Why I’m running: It is up to the California Democratic Party to lead the rest of the country on transgender and LGBQ+ rights, a pathway to citizenship for DREAMERS and all immigrants, protections for workers, pay equity for women, access to healthcare, support for seniors, and the climate-conscious public infrastructure. As a Democratic Party delegate, I will represent my communities with integrity, awareness, and conviction, bringing vital perspectives on immigration, LGBTQIA+ rights, and issues facing seniors.

My name is Nicole Christian and I am running as part of the Neighbors & Labor United Slate to be re-elected as a delegate to the California Democratic Party in Assembly District 19 representing San Mateo County. I am a lifelong resident of Daly City and have worked as a City & County of San Francisco employee for the past fifteen years. I am also a labor activist and currently serve on the Executive Board of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 1021 as the Social & Economic Justice Committee Chair. In my other roles, I serve as a political chair for SEIU1021’s Committee on Political Education (COPE) and a San Francisco Labor Council Delegate. As Chair of the San Francisco Youth Commission from 2021 to 2022, I led the successful Free Muni for Youth Campaign and the Vote16 (Prop G 2020) campaign. My other experience includes working for the Raben Group in Washington DC on federal civil rights and justice initiatives, as well as in the offices of Democratic elected officials, including U.S. Senator Alex Padilla, Asm. I have been a proud resident of San Francisco for nearly three decades and have worked throughout this time to strengthen community-based institutions and to educate community members and public officials on a wide range of critical issues. Throughout my career in the non-profit, government, political, and advocacy realms, some of the causes I have helped to advance include combating hunger, youth mental health, economic and workforce development, services for low-income families, seniors, and immigrants, early childhood education, environmental sustainability, increasing the supply of housing, improving public transportation, violence prevention, and working to address and fight the many forms of hate and bigotry in our society. I am also very involved in the local Jewish community, love to dance, and am the mother of an eleven-year-old boy who “keeps me on my toes” around the clock.
Why I’m running: As a first generation American whose mother is a child survivor of the Holocaust, the opportunity to be directly involved with setting the policies and priorities of the Democratic Party and with electing people to public office is particularly compelling. I have been involved with the CA Democratic Party ever since being a “CDP Presidential Student Core” organizer on college campuses way back during the Clinton/Gore years. That experience and many others have shown me the importance and power of engaging people in the democratic process and helping them to find and use their voice to improve their lives and communities.

Who I am: As an environmental justice attorney and executive director of San Francisco-based nonprofit Brightline Defense, I fight for clean energy, union jobs, green buildings, community benefits and more. Brightline Defense also supports affordable housing nonprofits find funding to upgrade conditions for low-income tenants. My other advocacy includes pushing for greater services for youth, seniors, and families, supporting 50 community-based organizations under Asian-Pacific Islander Council. As a self-taught artist, my art has been publicly installed as a large-scale mural for Community Youth Center of SF (CYC-SF)'s new westside office and on utility boxes throughout the Richmond District.
Why I'm running: I am seeking another term as an ADEM delegate to keep fighting for a green economy, quality affordable housing, and state and federal benefits for the people and communities who need them.

I currently serve as an elected member of the City College of San Francisco Board of Trustees, policy director at the Children’s Council of San Francisco, and First Lieutenant in the Army National Guard. Previously, I worked as a union organizer and as a legislative aide at the San Francisco and San Mateo County Boards of Supervisors.
I am honored to have the endorsement of State Treasurer Fiona Ma, Assemblymembers Catherine Stefani and Matt Haney, as well as California Democratic Party Vice Chair David Campos, in my campaign to serve as your Assembly District 19 ADEM Delegate.

During this time, I have fought for free and accessible college, higher wages for workers, an end to corporate greed, and increased immigrant participation in the Democratic Party. I was born and raised in San Francisco and attended Hoover Middle School, Lincoln High School, City College of San Francisco, UC San Diego, and the University of San Francisco. My life has been dedicated to public service.
As a union organizer, I worked to raise the California minimum wage and protect jobs from outsourcing. As a 15-year veteran and First Lieutenant in the National Guard, I have been deployed multiple times to provide disaster relief and security during California wildfires. As an Education Policy Advisor, I was the principal legislative staffer for the "Free City College" legislation at the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, ensuring a decade of free college for our community.

Juslyn Cabrera Manalo was born in San Francisco of immigrant parents and was raised in Daly City California and attended public schools throughout her education. As a staunch Democrat, her lifework to date pushes for equity and justice for those in most marginalized communities.
Early in her career, in the non-profit sector. Juslyn became a Community Service Worker providing direct service to the Filipino World War II Veterans who were deemed inactive from Congress-an injustice which these elders continued to fight for in the 70’s. Juslyn also managed the Bill Sorro Housing Program (BiSHoP), a program that helped low to moderate income families, find, defend and sustain their housing. She also worked in the private sector as a Community Engagement Manager, building partnerships to create community development opportunities such as affordable housing, local job creation, cultural district support, open green space, and youth development. Currently she is in the Office of Economic Workforce development in San Francisco reaching out to small businesses.
In 2016, she became the first Asian/Filipino American woman on the City Council in Daly City. Right away, she pushed the needle to bring the issue to support all immigrants to the forefront to be a sanctuary city. Also, she led raising the minimum wage in Daly City and is still above CA state minimum wage alongside Labor. She has advanced over 900 affordable housing projects to fill the much needed gap in the community.
She was an appointed Personnel Board Commissioner for the city of Daly City and was previously chairwoman for the SamTransCitizen Advisory Committee ensuring that local community voice is represented on transit.
Manalo earned her Masters of Public Administration, from San Francisco State University's School of Public Affairs and Civic Engagement. She has also attained a Bachelor of Arts, in Asian-American Studies and a Minor in Women Studies from San Francisco State University.
She believes local activism is key in communities. Juslyn is the President of the Filipino American Democratic Club of San Mateo County which has been in existence for over 40 years and active in the San Mateo County Democratic Central Committee. On the California Democratic State level, Juslyn is current Chair for Filipino American Democratic Caucus(FADC) and has been active in the San Mateo Democratic Central Committee.
Who I am: I run Permit Power, an environmental non-profit working to make it cheaper and easier for Americans to power their lives with clean electricity. I previously was the Chief of Policy at SPUR, a non-profit, where we worked to fully fund public transit, make it easier to build affordable housing around transit stations, and ensure that all Californians had access to healthy food. I have been volunteering for and supporting Democratic campaigns since I first arrived in this country over twenty years ago.
Why I'm running: We need a strong Democratic party that can win elections here in San Francisco, and also mobilize San Francisco's energy to help win elections throughout California and around the country. I am excited to help sustain the Democratic infrastructure that can make that possible.
Affiliations and background: I have worked for the past decade to bring better transit to the Bay Area, and currently serve on the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) and the Bay Area Housing Finance Authority (BAHFA) Board. Previously, I have served on the boards of BART, Capitol Corridor, the Water Emergency Transportation Administration (WETA), and on the SF Environment Commission. I am proud to have served as an ADEM Delegate for the past four years, and am a member of the AD 19 Neighbors and Labor slate.
